Response to Financial Hardships Caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic


2019 property tax installment with a due date of May 31, 2020.


Taxpayers who timely paid their January 31, 2020 and March 31, 2020 real estate property tax installments, and were unable to pay their remaining balance for the May 31, 2020 installment by the due date.


The City of Oak Creek Common Council has authorized the City Treasurer to waive interest and penalty on late real estate property tax payments, with an installment due date of May 31, 2020, that are received after their due date and paid by October 1, 2020.


Eligible taxpayers will receive a letter from the City Treasurer providing additional details and payment instructions once it is established with Milwaukee County. 


Final tax installment is due in full by October 1, 2020. All unpaid balances after October 1, 2020 will become delinquent, due and owing together with interest and penalty accruing from February 1, 2020, until paid in full.
