4/6/2019 Update- South 13th Street (County Highway "V") & Ryan Road (State Highway "100") Reconstruction
Preliminary work has begun on Ryan Road and South 13th St. Traffic control drums will be placed on the roads starting Monday, 4/8/2019.
The areas highlighted in yellow will be reconstructed as part of this improvements project. Traffic control (temporary signs, drums, signals, etc) will begin in advance of the construction and extend past the limits of construction in accordance with the Wisconsin DOT, Milwaukee County, Oak Creek, and federal guidelines.
This project is on an accelerated schedule which means work will be occurring outside of the typical construction hours. Crews will be working six days a week, Monday through Saturday, from 7:00 AM until 5:00 PM each day.
Night work is expected but will be kept to a minimum and will only occur when it is absolutely necessary. Noise will be kept to the minimum possible during night work. The Wisconsin DOT, Milwaukee County, and Oak Creek will all be notified prior to any night work. Updates will also be posted to this web page prior to any night work.
All of the local businesses and homes will remain open and accessible during construction. The construction team is working hand-in-hand with all of the businesses to ensure proper signs are posted which will help guide the traffic to their destination.
South 13th St (County Highway "V") and Ryan Road (State Highway "100") will never be closed to traffic. Both roads will remain open to local and non-local traffic at all times.
