A phased reopening of Oak Creek's municipal buildings has begun.  City Hall, the Police Station, the Public Works building, and Water & Sewer Utility HQ reopened on June 2. More details here.

The Oak Creek Health Department offers a number of services related to child health and development.

Breastfeeding Support

The Health Department has a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) on staff to assist with breastfeeding questions or concerns by appointment.

Child Development

The Health Department offers resources and referrals to ensure your child is meeting important developmental milestones. A developmental screening tool, the Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ), is available to all Oak Creek residents at no cost from the Oak Creek Health Department. Staff will assist with understanding screening results and will provide additional resources or referrals as necessary or requested. 

Car Seat Checks

The Health Department offers free car seat checks to all residents to provide education on proper installation and use. Additionally, car seats may be available if you cannot afford one. Contact the Health Department for availability and qualifications.

Pregnancy Testing

The Health Department provides pregnancy testing and verification for a fee. Contact the Health Department for more information or to schedule an appointment.

Safe Sleep Program

The Health Department offers resources and information on safe infant sleep. Additionally, if you cannot afford a safe place for your baby to sleep, the City may have a free pack ‘n play available. Please contact the Health Department for availability and qualifications. The Health Department has Baby Boxes available for all new parents/caregivers. Visit Baby Box's website to complete the education and qualify for a free Baby Box.
