Citizens and residents are sometimes not aware the City of Oak Creek does not care for and maintain all of the roads within the City. Road maintenance includes such things as pothole patching, road repairs, striping, grass cutting, snow plowing, and salting operations. Carts for newly constructed homes may be obtained by calling (414) 570-5682. Please place your carts on the opposite corners of your driveway approach with the arrows on the lid pointing toward the street. [more.....]

Clean-ups are held beginning on May 15th and November 15th each year. If the 15th falls on the weekend, it will begin the following Monday. These clean-ups are free of charge. [more.....]

In addition to the spring and fall clean-ups that are provided at no charge, the city provides special pick-ups for a fee of $25. This fee must be pre-paid in order to be put on the schedule for pick-up. [more.....]

Branches are picked up beginning April 1, June 1, August 1, and October 1 each year. Branches must be stacked at curb or roadside prior to these dates to be guaranteed a pick-up but no earlier then 2 weeks prior. [more.....]

Mulch is often available for free pick-up at the recycling yard. Residents may call to be put on a list to have mulch delivered to their homes for $25 a load (4-5 yards). If you have any questions, call the Street Dept. at (414) 768-6552.

Grass clippings are NOT accepted by the City. Grass clippings should be composted or mulched directly back into your lawn. Sod can be brought into the recycling yard. If you have any questions, call the Street Department at (414) 768-6552.

The City does NOT pick up leaves curbside. In addition, Ordinance #1984 prohibits residents from placing leaves in the streets, alleys or sidewalk areas. Residents may dispose of their leaves at the recycling yard during normal recycling yard hours. If you have any questions, call the Street Department at (414) 768-6552.

The Forestry Division of the City of Oak Creek Streets, Parks, and Forestry Department deals with the maintaince and development of the city tree canopy as well as the City's Street Tree Program.
