Why I Ran for Office: "I've always wanted to give back to my community in a variety of ways. Church, charity, and civic commitments are essential to round out an individuals personnal duties to my fellow neighbors and friends. I decided after my children were old enough and didn't need constant attention, that I would try for an elected city office. I was fortunate to be appointed because of a vacant Aldermanic position and subsequent to that, elected by the public twice. I hope to continue to serve in the future and thank all my constituents for their support. It's been one of my life's most challenging and rewarding endeavors."
