Approval of Minutes: 6/3/08 and 6/10/08
Public Hearings (beginning at 7:00 p.m.) Citizen input, comments and suggestions are requested on the specific item(s) identified below. Action by the Council may occur at the same meeting if so included in the agenda.
- Conditional Use Permit: Consider a conditional use permit to allow for an automobile service center/car wash at 1135 W. Rawson Ave. (Greg Bredin) (DBI, Incorporated) (1st District).
- Rezoning: Consider a rezoning of the Delphi Automotive property at 7929 S. Howell Ave. from M-1 Manufacturing to A-1 Limited Agricultural (3rd District).
- Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program: Provide Oak Creek residents an opportunity to suggest projects which could be completed during 2009 with money from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the 2009 CDBG Program, and the reallocation of unexpended funding from previous years (by Committee of the Whole).

- Motion: Consider a motion to file Ordinance No. 2507, authorizing the issuance of a conditional use permit for an automobile service center/car wash at 1135 W. Rawson Ave. (DBI, Incorporated) (1st District).
- Motion: Consider a motion to hold Ordinance No. 2496, rezoning the property at 7929 S. Howell Ave. from M-1 Manufacturing to A-1 Limited Agricultural (Delphi Automotive) (3rd District).
- Motion: Consider a motion to hold Council action to allocate 2009 CDBG funding until the 7/1/08 Council meeting (by Committee of the Whole).

- Motion: Consider a motion to approve the Vendor Summary Report in the amount of $320,712.76 (by Committee of the Whole).
- Council Proclamation: Consider council proclamation 08-05, appreciation to Andrea Drosen for dedicated service to the City of Oak Creek as a member of the Celebrations Commission (by Committee of the Whole).
- Motion: Consider a motion to concur with the Mayor’s appointment of Marilyn Rottel, 140 E. Parkway Estates Dr., to the Celebrations Commission for a three-year term expiring 4/2011 (by Committee of the Whole).
License Committee
- Motion: Consider a motion to take action on the various license requests as listed on the attached report (a final report will be available Tuesday) (by Committee of the Whole).
Fire
- Motion: Consider a motion to grant the Fire Department approval to apply for a SAFER Act Grant (by Committee of the Whole).
Health
- Ordinance: Consider ordinance No. 2509, amending Section 3.40(15)(9) of the Municipal Code relating to the Retail Food Establishments fee structure (by Committee of the Whole).
Police
- Motion: Consider a motion to approve the Police Department’s purchase of replacement body armor for 17 officers at a total cost of $9,010.00 (by Committee of the Whole).
Community Development
- Resolution: Consider resolution No. 10879-061708, authorizing the execution of an agreement with Milwaukee County relative to the City’s continued participation in the Community Development Block Grant Program for the program years 2009, 2010, and 2011 (by Committee of the Whole).
- Motion: Consider a motion to deny the formal request for a waiver from the Comprehensive Plan recommendation that all new development be served by municipal services as it pertains to the property at 3440 E. County Line Rd. (TOTAL Realty) (5th District).
Engineering
- Resolution: Consider resolution No. 10875-061708, accepting dedication of public sanitary sewer improvements for the MICJENSAR certified survey map from MICJENSAR DEVELOPMENT, LLC, and releasing them from the terms and conditions of their development agreement (5th District).

- Resolution: Consider resolution No. 10878-061708, accepting dedication of public water main improvements for the Columbia Grinding certified survey map from Kayrich Properties, LLC, and releasing them from the terms and conditions of their development agreement (1st District).
- Resolution: Consider resolution No. 10880-061708, accepting the workmanship and authorizing final payment to Payne & Dolan, Inc., for Project No. 07003 (installation of tennis court improvements in Riverton Meadows Park) (3rd District).
- Motion: Consider a motion to authorize payment of the contract payment for Project No. 06027, Street Department building design and renovation (2nd District).
Miscellaneous
- Motion: Consider a motion to convene into Closed Session immediately following the conclusion of the Common Council meeting, pursuant to Wisconsin State Statutes, to discuss the following:
- Section 19.85(1)(e)(g) to discuss strategy regarding pending litigation with MMSD relating to land located south and west of the intersection of S. Howell Ave. and W. Oakwood Rd.
- Motion: Consider a motion to reconvene into Open Session.
- Motion: Consider a motion to take action, if required.
- Resolution: Consider resolution No. 10881-061708, approving an amendment to extend the time to close on the purchase of approximately 10 acres from the Gerald R. and Rita Stahl Revocable Trust for the expansion of the Abendschein Community Park (3rd District).
- Motion: Consider a motion to refer to committee the naming of the S. 27th Street Corridor with a recommendation to consider selection of a new name (by Committee of the Whole).
