To Request:

A variance of Oak Creek Municipal Code, Section 17.0706(e) which states that “Pole signs shall not exceed twenty-five (25) feet in height; shall not be less than twelve (12) feet above the ground surface adjacent to the center of the bottom of the structure; and shall not exceed 100 square feet on any one side nor more than 200 square feet on all sides for any premises. Pole signs shall not be closer than twenty (20) feet from a street right-of-way nor closer than twenty (20) feet to a side or rear lot line.”

If granted, the variance would allow Continental Properties to add two (2) additional tenant panels to their existing sign.  The area of the sign would be 218 square feet per side (436 overall).

The applicant is also requiring a variance from Oak Creek Municipal Code, Section 17.0707, which states that “Off premise signs, except official signs, are not permitted in any district.” 

If granted the variance would allow Office Depot, Sherwin Willimans, and an additional tenant within the same building, yet on different parcels, to place tenant panels on the Kohl’s sign on the property at 9001 S. Howell Avenue.
