NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

BEFORE THE OAK CREEK COMMON COUNCIL

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this public hearing is to consider a six (6) month moratorium on electronic messageboard or changeable copy signs while the City is revising the existing sign ordinance.

Proposal:

The purpose of this public hearing is to consider a six (6) month moratorium on electronic messageboard or changeable copy signs while the City is revising the existing sign ordinance.  The moratorium would include a provision for businesses to seek special exceptions to the moratorium through the Plan Commission and Common Council.

The Common Council has scheduled other public hearings for March 6, 2007 at 7:00 PM.  This hearing may begin at 7:00 PM or as soon as possible following the conclusion of other public hearings.
