2007 BOARD OF REVIEW

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 2007

1.   CALL MEETING TO ORDER

The meeting was called to order at 8:30 AM.

Present were:
P. Groth,  C. Kobb, and D. McNulty.   F. Haybeck was present until 6:20 PM.  B. Evans and J. Wilinski arrived at 4:15 PM. T. Lewison arrived at 4:30 PM and left at 6:35 PM.

Also present were:
City Assessor Martin Kuehn and City Clerk Beverly A. Buretta.

2.   CONDUCT HEARINGS FOR OBJECTIONS TO PROPERTY VALUE ASSESSMENTS.

The Board conducted hearings on objections to property value assessments for the following:

3.   COMPLETE THE CONDUCT OF REGULAR BUSINESS

  1. City Assessor M. Kuehn distributed and explained the form, Corrections of Errors by Assessor, per Statutes 70.43.  There were four Personal Property corrections, and one Real Estate correction due to an incorrect parcel size.  It was moved by C. Kobb, second by D. McNulty, to approve the 70.43 Corrections of Errors by Assessor.  On roll call, all voted aye.
  2. City Assessor M. Kuehn distributed and explained the form, Omitted Property for 2007, per Statutes 70.44.  There were three omitted properties;  one for 2006, and one for both 2005 and 2006.  It was moved by C. Kobb, second by F. Haybeck, to approve the 70.44 Omitted Property as submitted.  On roll call, all voted aye.

4.   COMPLETE FINAL CLOSING ACTIONS FOR 2007 BOARD OF REVIEW

  1. It was moved by B. Evans, second by D. McNulty, that the Board of Review has sufficiently reviewed the 2007 Assessment Roll to consider it complete.  On roll call, all voted aye.
  2. It was moved by B. Evans, second by J. Wilinski, to accept the 2007 Assessment Roll as modified by the BOR.  On roll call, all voted aye.
  3. It was moved by B. Evans, second by J. Wilinski, to final adjourn the 2007 Board of Review upon completion and mailing of all final determination notices.  On roll call, all voted aye.

The meeting adjourned at 10:30 PM.
