The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance being said by all present.
Mayor Bolender called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. On roll call, the following aldermen were present: Ald. Kopplin, Ald. Foeckler, Ald. Lampe, Ald. Toman, Ald. Grabowski, and Ald. Michalski. Also present were: City Administrator Patrick DeGrave, City Attorney Lawrence Haskin, Director of Community Development Douglas Seymour, City Engineer Wayne St. John, City Planner Jeff Fortin, and Deputy City Clerk Pam Bauer.
1. City Attorney Lawrence Haskin explained this meeting was a continuation of the January 29, 2007, meeting for the purpose of conducting a public hearing to consider revocation of the conditional use permit granted to LePine Enterprises, Inc., for a contractor’s shop with outdoor storage for the properties at 9540-9578 S. Pennsylvania Ave. City Attorney Haskin acknowledged that the appearances were the same: Attorney John G. Shannon of Dye, Foley, Krohn, Shannon, S.C., representing City of Oak Creek staff, and Attorney Patricia Lauten from The Schroeder Group, representing LePine Enterprises, Inc. A court reporter was also present to record the hearing. Attorney Shannon provided a certified transcript from the January 29, 2007 meeting which was entered into evidence.
Attorney Shannon made an opening statement and then called Douglas Seymour, Director of Community Development, to the stand. Mr. Seymour was then sworn in by Deputy City Clerk Pam Bauer and his testimony taken. Attorney Patricia Lauten presented Exhibits A through N during her examination and those items were entered in to the record. The hearing recessed from 8:05 p.m. to 8:16 p.m. Attorney Shannon presented Exhibits 59, 60 and 61 during his examination and those items were entered in to the record. City Attorney Lawrence Haskin and Common Council members were provided the opportunity to ask questions, with final examinations by Attorneys Shannon and Lauten. Mr. Seymour’s testimony concluded at 9:25 p.m.
This hearing will resume on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at 7:00 p.m.
Ald. Grabowski, seconded by Ald. Kopplin, moved to adjourn this meeting at 9:25 p.m. All voted aye; motion carried.
