PROCEEDINGS, SPECIAL COMMON COUNCIL MEETING
MONDAY, JANUARY 29, 2007, 7:00 P.M.

MILWAUKEE COUNTY
The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance being said by all present.
Mayor Bolender called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. On roll call, the following aldermen were present: Ald. Kopplin, Ald. Foeckler, Ald. Lampe, Ald. Toman, Ald. Grabowski, and Ald. Michalski. Also present were: City Administrator Patrick DeGrave, City Attorney Lawrence Haskin, Director of Community Development Douglas Seymour, City Engineer Wayne St. John, City Planner Jeff Fortin, and Deputy City Clerk Pam Bauer.
- City Attorney Lawrence Haskin explained this meeting was for the purpose of conducting a public hearing to consider revocation of the conditional use permit granted to LePine Enterprises, Inc., for a contractor’s shop with outdoor storage for the properties at 9540-9578 S. Pennsylvania Ave.
Introduced was Attorney John G. Shannon of Dye, Foley, Krohn, Shannon, S.C., representing City of Oak Creek staff, and Attorney Patricia Lauten from The Schroeder Group, representing LePine Enterprises, Inc. A court reporter was also present to record the hearing.
City Attorney Haskin asked if either side had any procedural or other objections to proceeding with the hearing. There were none. Both Attorneys Shannon and Lauten had agreed prior to the hearing to proceed first with public comment. City Attorney Haskin explained that any member of the public wishing to make remarks on the record was to come forward and be sworn in by the Deputy Clerk. Upon the conclusion of their testimony, counsel on both sides would have the opportunity to ask questions. The role of the Common Council is to listen to all evidence as presented.
