A.     Request for a street light to be installed at the intersection of S. 27th Street and W. St. John’s Way.

Six citizens attended the meeting with four in favor and two against.  The citizens in favor stated that they felt it to be dangerous and not an easy intersection to navigate.  The citizens against the request felt that the additional light would shine into their homes and be intrusive.  The Commission members discussed the request in depth with all citizens and agreed to have the Engineering Department investigate four proposed alternatives.

1.      Street light in S. 27th Street median and the placement of street signs in median prior to W. St. John’s Way in the north and south direction.

2.      Street light in S. 27th Street median only.

3.      Street light on south side of W. St. John’s Way.

4.      Street light on north side of W. St. John’s Way.

Motion by Alderman Michalski and seconded by Mike Lampe to have the Engineering Department investigate the proposed alternatives and report their findings at a future meeting.  Motion passed.

5)               Adjournment

Motion by Alderman Michalski and seconded by George Artka to adjourn.  Motion passed.

Respectfully submitted,
