CHAIRMAN'S REPORT
Expenses
$1.17 postage

We received a $100 check from Lake Shore Medical for the Pig Roast. We have not received diCarlo's donation yet.

We have $7,000 left in the account; and no money has been spent from the Donations account to date.

OLD BUSINESS:
We still haven't received a bill from the Lions for electricity for 4th of July.

NEW BUSINESS:
Complaint
We received a complaint from "A Very Concerned Oak Creek Citizen" about swearing and foul language during the wrestling event at the Legion held prior to the start of the fireworks. She felt that it was very inappropriate, especially because of the children who were present.

4th of Julv. 2007
All of the businesses participating in the parade should be named on the parade banner. South Milwaukee does that on their Heritage Days parade banner.

Also, we should place an ad in the Journal/Sentinel and in the Pictorial requesting donations and parade participation.

Appleby's is redecorating and has asked if there were newer pictures of Oak Creek that they could display. Chris will give them the pictures we used for the Birthday Bash blanket and a t-shirt with the Oak Creek logo.

2006 Events

Pig Roast
We have more sponsors this year.

Sharon will distribute posters up and down Howell Ave.

There will be no formal volunteer schedule. Volunteers can show up whenever they want to; and they can take a break whenever they feel the need.

Smoking in the tent will not be permitted. There were citizen complaints last year.

Signs will be set up along the front of Groveland Park, City Hall, and the Recycling Yard.

The "warmers" for the meat will be borrowed from the Community Center again this year. Mike, Chris, and Sharon will bring their Nescos for the beans.

Games will be sponsored by Hickory Landscaping again this year. Kim will notify Dan O'Heron.

Prizes - Sharon will check to see if prizes have already been ordered; and if they haven't sel"s order them from Oriental Trading Co.

Ice cream - Linda is working with Cedarcrest. We'll rent a freezer for from the for $60.

Soda and water is coming from Black Bear again-10 cases of water and 15 cases of soda.

Christmas Tree Lighting
There is $600 budgeted this year; and we've received $150 from M&I Bank.

The Christmas tree in front of City Hall is dying. It will be replaced by a 16' Black Hills Spruce. Trees on the Move will charge us $1,000 (it's normally $1,500).

Rebecca (the City Forester) would like to move the tree to the South side of the building; but for reasons of economy (there would be no electricity nearby) as well as the number of trees already on that side of the building, it will stay where it is. An electrical box was installed just two years ago in front of City Hall and budgetary constraints prevent us from installing another one at a new location.

ADJOURNMENT
Meeting adjourned at 5:23 PM.
