The meeting was called to order at 9:35 a.m.
Committee members present were Alderman Toman and Alderman Lampe. Also present were City Administrator Patrick DeGrave, Acting Community Public Health Officer Sue Wojcinski, and Finance Manager RoseAnn Underberg. Jackie Ove, Health Officer of South Milwaukee and Sue Shepeard, Health Officer of Greendale assisted with Health Officer interviews.
Item 2. To convene to executive session under Statutory authority 19.85(1)(c) and (e) to:
Alderman Toman made a motion to approve the minutes of June 20. Alderman Lampe seconded. Motion carried.
Item 3. Reconvene in open session
Motion to reconvene to open session at 12:10 p.m. by Alderman Toman. Second to the motion by Alderman Lampe. Motion carried.
To take action on items discussed in closed session.
2a. To resolve street department grievance 06-0002 in favor of the grievant. Supervisor asked her to work through lunch and indicated the work would be paid as overtime. The resolution is non-precedent setting and does not resolve the issue of interpreting Article 11 (B).
2b. Authorized the Administrator to negotiate with a selected candidate for the position of Community Public Health Officer.
Item 4. The tuition reimbursement request was not discussed and will be carried over to the next agenda.
Alderman Toman motioned to adjourn the meeting at 12:15 p.m. Alderman Lampe seconded. Motion carried.
