Civil Service Commission

- The meeting was called to order at 5:15 p.m. Present were James Potter, John Przybyla, Brad Evans, and Marie Kreif. Sharon Wiorek arrived at 5:15 p.m.
- Commissioner Evans made a motion to approve the minutes of March 2. Commissioner Wiorek seconded the motion. All aye; motion passed.
- The Committee entered executive session at 5:05 p.m. pursuant to Wisconsin State Statutes, Section 19.85(1)(c) to:
- Review applications for Plumbing/Building Inspector
- Review applications for Water Treatment Plant Operator
- Review written exam results for Emergency Services Dispatcher and discuss next step in recruitment process
- The Commission reconvened into open session at 6:15 p.m. and took the following actions:
- The applications for Plumbing/Building Inspector were reviewed; 10 of the 13 were considered qualified and will be invited to interview with the commission on May 11.
- Of the 41 applications, 24 were not qualified. The remaining 17 will be invited to a test at the treatment plant on May 17. A list of answers to frequently asked questions will be mailed with the invitation to the exam.
- At this time there are no dispatcher vacancies to fill. Of the 41 applicants who qualified, 29 took the test, 1 reused a previous test score and 11 did not show up for the exam. Interviews will be conducted once a vacancy is anticipated.
- Commissioner Evans made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 5:55 p.m. Commissioner Wiorek seconded the motion. All aye; motion carried.
