Civil Service Commission

- The meeting was called to order at 5:15 p.m.
- Present were James Potter, John Przybyla, Sharon Wiorek, and Marie Pellett. Also present was Capt. Endthoff of the Police Department.
- The Committee entered executive session at 5:15 p.m. pursuant to Wisconsin State Statutes, Section 19.85(1)(c) to:
- Review applications for Emergency Services Dispatcher and schedule testing
- The Commission reconvened into open session at 6:15 p.m. and took the following actions:
- Of the 70 applications turned in, 21 were incomplete or did not meet the minimum requirements. The remaining applicants will be invited to the typing test, which was scheduled for March 13. The written test was tentatively scheduled for March 25 at 1:00 p.m. at the Police Department. The Commission reviewed several letters to be sent to applicants by the Police Department. Capt. Endthoff indicated that the simulator may be incorporated as part of the Police Department’s interview process. He added that the Police Department will not conduct interviews until there is an actual vacancy; at this time an eligibility list is being established. Additional steps in the process will be scheduled after the test results are received. Sharon Wiorek made a motion to approve the process as outlined above. John Przybyla seconded the motion. All aye; motion carried.
- Chairman Potter made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:15 p.m. Sharon Wiorek seconded the motion. All aye; motion carried.
