Municipal Court Room-Oak Creek Police Station

1) Members in Attendance

George Artka, Tom Rosandich, Cliff Nelson, Alderman Thomas Michalski, Michael Helgeson and Matthew Sullivan present.

2) Review of Minutes

Motion by George Artka and seconded by Michael Helgeson to approve the minutes of October 11, 2006. Motion passed.

4) New Business

A. Request to allow street parking at 7435 S. Howell Avenue along W. Marquette Avenue between noon and 3 pm on the second Wednesday of the month.

Two members from the UAW Local 75 Retired Workers Chapter spoke regarding the request. The members stated that there was no conversation between them and owners of the property to south regarding the use of their parking stalls and they agreed to speak with them. The Commission also recommended to the members to contact the Police Shift Supervisor if they need to park on the road since this is a rare occurrence. They agreed to try these suggestions instead of having the City permanently allowing parking on Marquette.

Motion by Tom Rosandich and seconded by Alderman Thomas Michalski to deny the request to allow street parking at 7435 S. Howell Avenue along W. Marquette Avenue. Motion passed.

B. Request for a street light to be installed at the intersection of S. 13^th Street and W. Buckingham Drive.

Three residents were in attendance and were against placing additional lighting at the entrance. They stated that there was adequate lighting at the entrance intersections.

Motion by Michael Helgeson and seconded by Alderman Thomas Michalski to deny the request for a street light to be installed at the intersection of S. 13^th Street and W. Buckingham Drive. Motion passed.

5) Adjournment

Motion by Michael Helgeson and seconded by Matthew Sullivan to adjourn. Motion passed.
