MINUTES
CITY OF OAK CREEK AD HOC COMMITTEE ON
FACILITY SPACE NEEDS
Tuesday, October 17, 2006, 6:30 PM
- This meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.
- Present were Committee members: Fred Siepert, Isabel Haase, Frank Carini, Cal Nowak and Ed Siira. Joy Johnson arrived at 6:35. Mike O’Brian arrived at 6:45.
- Staff present were: Facilities Manager Dick Kulka; Information Technology Manager Caesar Geiger, and Personnel Specialist Marie Kreif.
- F. Carini made a motion to approve the minutes of September 19. Cal seconded the motion. All aye; motion carried.
- Review information obtained on:
- City Hall
- Library
- Fire Station #1
- Fred reiterated that the group’s goal moving forward is to present a history/background on the current facilities, to present the current conditions/needs/problems and then offer suggestions based on general cost estimates. The group plans to give a presentation to Council in December or January.
- Copies of the October 6th Pictorial article regarding the city’s facilities were distributed.
- Isabel provided the committee with a handout itemizing some of the issues that need to be resolved at Fire Station #1; Dick Kulka added details. Included in the discussion was the current status of the boilers, piping, floor tiles, location of radio equipment, water supply for sprinkler system, and front exterior wall construction.
- F. Carini, seconded by I. Haase, moved to adjourn this meeting at 7:45 p.m. All voted aye.
The next meeting will be Tuesday, November 21.
