Civil Service Commission
Thursday, January 12, 2006
- The meeting was called to order at 5:15 p.m.
- Present were James Potter, Brad Evans, John Przybyla, Sharon Wiorek, and Marie Pellett. Also present was Capt. Endthoff of the Police Department.
- Brad Evans made a motion to approve the minutes of December 1, 2005. Sharon Wiorek seconded the motion. All aye; motion carried.
- The Committee entered executive session at 5:30 p.m. pursuant to Wisconsin State Statutes, Section 19.85(1)(c ) to:
- Review exam results for Equipment Operator
- The Commission reconvened into open session at 5:50 p.m. and took the following actions:
- There were 36 applicants invited to the test. Of the 27 applicants who took the test on December 15, 19 had a score of 70 or more (out of 100 possible). Brad Evans made a motion to invite those 19 applicants to interview with the commission. John Przybyla seconded the motion. All aye; motion carried.
- Discuss timetable for establishing a new eligibility list for Dispatcher
- Capt. Endthoff explained that the list established in 2005 with 14 candidates had been used to fill five vacancies and now only 3 candidates remain active. To have an adequate pool of candidates to select from for possible vacancies in 2006, Capt. Endthoff asked that a new eligibility list be established. The Commission approved the tentative timetable provided and the process to be followed. The three names remaining on the 2005 list will be carried over onto the new list.
- Brad Evans made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 5:55 p.m. James Potter seconded the motion. All aye; motion carried.
