Tuesday, February 22, 2005, 8:30 a.m.
1. This meeting was called to order at 8:32 a.m. Present were: Ald. Foeckler, Ald. Grabowski, and Deputy Clerk Pam Bauer. Ald. Jonas was excused.
2. The committee reviewed the following applications for Operator’s license:
Lisa M. Fox, 8460 S. Parknoll Dr. (Jazzbro’s). Lisa was present at this meeting to address the committee regarding her arrest record. City Attorney Haskin had previously been asked to review her record and his comments were that she fit the definition of a habitual offender by having two or more convictions within a five-year period and also falsified her application. Any recommendation, however, was up to the committee to make. She explained that she had forgotten about some of her past arrests because she was a teenager at the time of the incidents which was years ago. She has not had any problems since 2001 and is now a full-time college student working at Jazzbro’s part-time to make extra money to pay for school. The committee explained the responsibilities of holding an Operator’s license which she stated she understood. Ald. Grabowski, seconded by Ald. Foeckler, moved to grant an Operator’s license to Fox. All voted aye; motion carried.
Ald. Foeckler, seconded by Ald. Grabowski, moved to grant an Operator’s license to Katie Marie O’Brien, 2925 E. Koenig Ave., St. Francis (Tri City Pick n Save). All voted aye; motion carried.
Ald. Foeckler, seconded by Ald. Grabowski, moved to adjourn this meeting at 8:45 a.m. All voted aye; motion carried.
