PROCEEDINGS, SPECIAL COMMON COUNCIL MEETING

MONDAY, JUNE 7, 2004, 5:00 P.M.

CITY OF OAK CREEK

MILWAUKEE COUNTY

1.         Mayor Bolender called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.  On roll call, the following aldermen were present:  Ald. Kopplin, Ald. Foeckler, Ald. Lampe, Ald. Grabowski, and Ald. Jonas.  Ald. Toman was excused.  Also present were:  City Attorney Lawrence Haskin, Police Chief Thomas Bauer, Police Captain Warren Endthoff, and City Clerk Beverly Buretta.

2.         Ald. Lampe, seconded by Ald. Kopplin, moved to convene into Executive Session at 5:05 p.m. pursuant to Wisconsin State Statutes, Section 19.85(1)(g) to consider possible litigation regarding the proposed placement of Billy Lee Morford, a sexually violent person, at 445 E. Oak St., Oak Creek, WI.  On roll call, the vote was as follows:  Ald. Kopplin, aye; Ald. Foeckler, aye; Ald. Lampe, aye; Ald. Grabowski, aye; and Ald. Jonas, aye.

3.         Ald. Lampe, seconded by Ald. Kopplin, moved to reconvene into Open Session at 5:40 p.m.  All voted aye; motion carried.

4.         Ald. Lampe, seconded by Ald. Foeckler, moved to authorize a legal challenge to the placement of Billy Lee Morford at 445 E. Oak St., Oak Creek, WI.  On roll call, the vote was as follows:  Ald. Kopplin, aye; Ald. Foeckler, aye; Ald. Lampe, aye; Ald. Grabowski, aye; and Ald. Jonas, aye.

            Ald. Lampe, seconded by Ald. Grabowski, moved to adjourn this meeting at 5:40 p.m.  All voted aye; motion carried.
