PROCEEDINGS, JOINT SPECIAL COMMON COUNCIL AND

ADMINISTRATOR SELECTION COMMITTEE MEETING

THURSDAY, MAY 20, 2004, 5:30 P.M.

STATE OF WISCONSIN

MILWAUKEE COUNTY

1.         This meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Common Council President Kopplin, who chaired the meeting in Mayor Bolender’s absence.  The following aldermen were present:  Ald. Kopplin, Ald. Lampe, Ald. Toman, Ald. Grabowski, and Ald. Jonas.  Ald. Foeckler was excused.  Present from the Administrator Selection Committee were:  Terry Peterson, Traci Peters, Scott Gronland, and Dennis Filkins.  Also present was City Clerk Beverly Buretta.

2.         Informal introductions and discussions with a candidate for the City Administrator      position were held between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

3.         Ald. Grabowski, seconded by Ald. Lampe, moved to convene into Executive Session at 6:05 p.m., pursuant to Wisconsin State Statutes, Section 19.85(1)(c) to interview a candidate for the City  Administrator position.  On roll call, the vote was as follows:  Ald. Kopplin, aye; Ald. Lampe, aye; Ald. Toman, aye; Ald. Grabowski, aye; and Ald. Jonas, aye.

4.         Ald. Kopplin, seconded by Ald. Lampe, moved to reconvene into open session at 8:45 p.m.  All voted aye; motion carried.

5.         Ald. Kopplin, seconded by Ald. Lampe, moved to adjourn this meeting at 8:45 p.m.  All voted aye; motion carried.
