Civil Service Commission
Thursday,
May 13, 2004
- The meeting was called to order at 5:15 p.m. Present
were Sharon Wiorek, Brad Evans, John Przybyla, Andrea Drosen, and Marie Pellett. Jim
Potter arrived at 5:20 p.m. Doug Seymour was invited to attend at 5:50
p.m.
- The Commission entered Executive Session at 5:15
p.m. pursuant to Wisconsin State
Statutes, Section 19.85(1)(c) to:
- Review and discuss correspondence received
regarding Planner Position
- Review and discuss correspondence received
regarding Dispatcher position
- Score typing speed exams for Dispatcher and
establish next step in process
- The Commission reconvened into open session at 6:45
p.m. and took the following actions:
- Brad Evans made a motion recommending that
a memo be prepared directing the Community Development Director to contact
the applicant who is unavailable until June and schedule an interview upon
their return. Sharon Wiorek seconded the motion. All aye; motion
carried.
- Chairman Potter made a motion to send a letter
to Ms. Seymour denying the request for an exception. Brad Evans seconded
the motion. All aye; motion carried.
- Of the 53 applicants that took the typing
speed exam, 40 had a net typing speed of 35 words per minute or more. Interviews
were tentatively scheduled for May 26 and 27 and June 2 and 3.
- Sharon
Wiorek, seconded by John Przybyla,
made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:45
p.m. All aye; motion carried.
