TRAFFIC AND SAFETY COMMISSION

1) Members in Attendance

Bill Wilson for George Artka, Ann Lampe, Cliff Nelson, Jerry Hammernik for Tom Rosandich, Henry Jackson, Bob Anderson were present. David Schneider and Bill Schaper were not present.

2) Review of Minutes

The minutes of the February 11, 2004 meeting were approved on a motion by Ann Lampe. Seconded by Cliff Nelson. Motion passed.

3) Old Business

None.

4) New Business

A. Request for the removal of the “No Right Turn” sign from Tanglewood Apartments.

Two residents and Alderman Stephen Jonas spoke in favor of keeping the sign. Bill Wilson made a motion to make the “No Right Turn” sign a permanent installation. Cliff Nelson seconded. Motion passed with 6 ayes.

B. Discussion for a “No U-Turn” sign at the median opening on northbound Howell Avenue, south of Puetz Road.

Ann Lampe made a motion to install a “No U-Turn” sign at the median opening on northbound Howell Avenue south of Puetz Road. Jerry Hammernik seconded. Motion passed with 6 ayes.

5. Adjournment

Bill Wilson moved to adjourn the Traffic and Safety Commission meeting. Seconded by Ann Lampe. Motion passed.
