MINUTES OF THE

OAK CREEK PLAN COMMISSION MEETING

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 2004

Mayor Bolender called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  The following Commissioners were present at roll call: Commissioner Dickmann, Commissioner Jackson, Commissioner Marhal, Commissioner Siira, Commissioner Foeckler, Mayor Bolender, Alderman Kopplin, Commissioner Correll and Commissioner Peterson.  Also present were Director of Community Development Douglas Seymour and Assistant Fire Chief George Krudop.

Commissioner Dickmann motioned to approve the minutes of the February 10, 2004 Plan Commission meeting.  Commissioner Siira seconds.  Roll call, all voted aye.  Motion carries.

Report on Significant Common Council Actions

Mr. Seymour updated the Commissioners on the actions that were taken at the February 16, 2004 Common Council meetings.  Commissioner Dickmann inquired about the timeline of the building.  Mr. Seymour stated that he could not speak about their time table but stated that we do have a preliminary site plan.  Their were no other comments or questions.

Certified Survey Map - Fred Wobick
10222 S. Shepard Avenue

Mr. Seymour explained to the Commission that Fred Wobick was requesting approval of a certified survey map that would subdivide a 20,000 square foot parcel from the remaining 7.1 acre property at 10222 S. Shepard Avenue.  Mr. Seymour explained that at the last Plan Commission meeting there was some concern regarding property lines.  That was researched and it appears that the survey information is correct. 

Ms. Nancy Stormer, 810 E. Oakwood, stated that she has come to the conclusion that the map Mr. Wobick has is correct.

Commissioner Marhal motioned that the Plan Commission recommend to the Common Council that the certified survey map for the property at 10222 S. Shepard Avenue be approved subject to the following conditions:

1. That any technical corrections be completed prior to recording of the map.
2. That a grading and drainage plan for Parcel 2 be approved by the City Engineer prior to recording of the map.

Commissioner Siira second.  All approved.  Motion passed.

Certified Survey Map – Timothy and Barbara Sommers
9200 S. Nicholson Road

Mr. Seymour explained to the Commission that Timothy and Barbara Sommers are requesting approval of a certified survey map that would subdivide a the property at 9200 S. Nicholson Road into parcels of 1.7 and .927 acres.

Commissioner Dickmann motioned that the Plan Commission recommend to the Common Council that the certified survey map for the property located at 9200 S. Nicholson Road be approved subject to the following conditions:

1. That any technical corrections be completed prior to recording of the map.
2. That a grading and drainage plan for Parcel 2 be approved by the City Engineer prior to the recording of the map.

Commissioner Marhal second.  All voted aye.  Motioned approved.

The Commission convened into Executive Session at 7:30 p.m. pursuant to Wisconsin State Statutes, Section 19.85(1)(c) to review the applicants for the position of Planner.

The Commission reconvened into open session at 9:00 p.m.

The meeting adjourned at 9:05 p.m.
