TRAFFIC AND SAFETY COMMISSION

Oak Creek City Hall

 

1)        Members in Attendance

 

George Artka, Ann Lampe, Cliff Nelson, Tom Rosandich, Henry Jackson, and David Schneider were present.   Bill Schaper not present with excused absence.

 

2)        Review of Minutes

 

Motion made by Tom Rosandich and seconded by Cliff Nelson to approve the minutes of the November 10, 2004 meeting.  Motion passed.

 

3)              Old Business

 

A.    Request for No Parking Anytime along both sides of W. Pilgrim Parkway from Glen Crossing Drive to S. 13th Street.

 

            Motion made by Tom Rosandich and seconded by Cliff Nelson to install No Parking signs on the north and south sides of W. Pilgrim Parkway from S. 13th Street to the west side of the first residential driveway on the south side of W. Pilgrim Parkway.  Motion passed.

 

4)        New Business

 

A.    Request for Keep Right signs on the medians of E. Puetz Road at the intersection of S. Shepard Avenue.

 

Bill Schaper reported to Chairwoman Ann Lampe earlier in the day that these signs exist already and no action on this request is required.  The request was tabled.

 

B.    Request for Cross Traffic Does Not Stop signs on the stop signs on S. Shepard Avenue at the intersection of E. Puetz Road.

 

            Motion made by Ann Lampe and seconded by Tom Rosandich to install “cross traffic does not stop” wording to S. Shepard Avenue stop signs at E. Puetz Road for a six-month trial period. Motion passed.

 

C.    Request for centerline pavement markings on S. Mayhew Drive and E. Centennial Drive.

 

            Motion made by George Artka and seconded by Cliff nelson to install centerline markings on E. Centennial Drive, from S. Howell Avenue to S. Shepard Drive and on S. Mayhew Drive, from E. Puetz Road to E. Centennial Drive. Motion passed.

 

5.               Adjournment

 

Motion made by Tom Rosandich and seconded by Dave Schneider to adjourn. Motion passed.
