- Roll Call: Called to Order by J. Alles
Present: J. Alles, D. Schier, S. Schneider, R. Zapp, J. DeVita, Dr. M. D'Amico, M. Zabkowicz, Ald. Jonas
- Approval of Minutes August 11, 2004 meeting. Motion by S. Schneider, seconded by Dr. DAmico, and approved as written.
- Correspondence None.
- CPHA Report As printed.
- City Sanitarian Report Our state sanitarian will be moving to Madison; we will have another one assigned.
- Medical Advisor Report discussion of follow-up regarding the meningitis vaccine for college students.
- Council Representative Report No report.
- Old Business
- Up-date on grant activities Information item.
- Up-date on bioterrorism preparedness activities - Informational item.
- New Business
- Discussion on flu vaccine shortage and implications for Oak Creek The CPHA informed the board of the determination of those at high risk to receive the vaccine. Oak Creek received all doses ordered and has been able to share some vaccine with other agencies who received none.
- Presentation on pertussis outbreak in Oak Creek and the surrounding area The CPHA reported that to-date this year we have 152 on our line list; of these 55 met the case definition of probable or confirmed disease and 67 were determined not to be cases. There have been 13 laboratory confirmed cases in Oak Creek and 10 from the surrounding communities who attend school and/or activities in Oak Creek.
