TRAFFIC AND SAFETY COMMISSION

Oak Creek City Hall

 

1)                Members in Attendance

 

Bob Anderson, George Artka, Henry Jackson, Ann Lampe, Tom Rosandich and Bill Schaper were present.  Jim Cech and Cliff Nelson were not present.

 

2)            Review of Minutes

 

The minutes of the April 9, 2003 meeting were approved on a motion by Bill Schaper. Seconded by Ann Lampe.  Motion passed.

 

3)                   Old Business

 

A.            Letter from WisDOT stating signals at S. Howell Avenue and Centennial Drive are not warranted at this time.

 

4)                   New Business

 

A.                  Request for “No Parking” signs along the Northeast side of Orchard Way from Breaburn Drive to Cortland Drive along the front of the Water Reservoir.

 

George Artka made a motion to install  “no parking” signs along the northeast side of Orchard Way from Breaburn Drive to Cortland Drive along the front of the Water Reservoir.  Ann Lampe seconded.  All voted aye, except Bill Schaper.

                               

B.                  Request for “No Parking” signs along the east side of Knights Way from Groveland Drive to a point 200 feet south along the front of the Water Reservoir.

 

                Bill Schaper made a motion to install “no parking” signs along the east side of Knights Way from Groveland Drive to a point 200 feet south along the front of the Water Reservoir.  Tom Rosandich seconded.  All voted aye.

 

C.                  Request for “No Parking” signs on both sides of 5th Avenue from American Avenue to a point 1,500 feet south along the front of the water treatment plant.

 

                Tom Rosandich made a motion to install “no parking” signs on both sides of 5th Avenue from American Avenue to a point 1,500 feet south along the front of the water treatment plant.  Ann Lampe seconded.  All voted aye.

 

                D.                Request for “Deaf Child” sign at 710 E. Quail Run.

 

Ann Lampe made a motion to install a “deaf child” sign at 710 E. Quail Run.  Tom Rosandich seconded.  All voted aye.

 

5)                Adjournment

 

Bill Schaper moved to adjourn the Traffic and Safety Commission meeting.  Seconded by Tom Rosandich.  Motion passed.
