The meeting was called to order at 8:30 a.m.
Item 1. Roll Call
Committee members present were Alderman Kopplin and Alderman Lampe. Also present was Robert Kufrin, Tom Bauer, Jerry Hammernik, Wayne St. John, RoseAnn Underberg, and Marie Pellett. Bargaining members of Local 133 present were Melody Kotke, Rob Porter, Barb Congdon, Mike Lampe and Greg Rathke.
Item 2. Review and consider approval of minutes
No minutes were available.
Item 3. Exchange of contract proposals with Local 133
Contract proposals were exchanged.
Item 4. Alderman Kopplin, seconded by Alderman, made a motion to enter into Executive Session pursuant to Wisconsin State Statutes Section 19.85(1)(c) and (e) at 8:35 a.m.
a. Negotiations with Local 133 on a successor agreement
b. Consideration of a temporary appointment of Account Clerk II in the Treasurer’s Office
Item 5. The Committee reconvened into Open Session at approximately 12:30 p.m. and took the following actions:
a. A tentative agreement was reached with specific language clarifications yet to be made.
b. Alderman Lampe made a motion to approve the pay for temporary work out of classification for the Account Clerk II per the current contract language. Alderman Kopplin seconded the motion. All aye; motion carried.
Item 6. Consideration of various tuition reimbursement requests
Alderman Lampe made a motion to approve the tuition reimbursement request of Michael Kressuk. Alderman Kopplin seconded the motion. All aye; motion carried.
Item 7. Consideration of allowing AFLAC to provide optional insurance to employees
Alderman Lampe made a motion to approve the scheduling of employee meetings with AFLAC during non-work time to discuss voluntary benefit plan options. Alderman Kopplin seconded the motion. All aye; motion carried.
Item 9. Consideration of reclassification request for Senior Engineering Tech - RLS
This issue was discussed during the executive session as part of contract bargaining.
Item 10. Consideration of salary adjustment for the Public Health Nurse Supervisor
This issue will be included as part of the January 1, 2003 salary ordinance when it is prepared.
Alderman Lampe, seconded by Alderman Kopplin, moved to adjourn at 1:15 p.m.. All aye; motion carried.
