present. Jim Cech was not present.
2) Review of Minutes
The minutes of the February 12, 2003 meeting were
approved on a motion by Bill Schaper, seconded by Cliff Nelson. Motion passed.

Old Business
A.
Follow-up report on a request for noise barriers along I-94.
Mike Sullivan reported
that the State has determined that additional barriers in the Rawson to Puetz
corridor would require a $600,000 local funding match and would protect 11
residences built prior to 1989 (the federal cutoff date for noise abatement
eligibility.) This item required no
Commission action.
4)
New Business
A. Request
for a stop sign on Woodridge Drive at Wynona Drive.
Bill Schaper moved to
recommend denial of the request for stops on Woodridge, seconded by Alderman
Lampe. Motion passed.
B. Request
for the State to consider traffic signals at the intersection of Howell Avenue
and Centennial Drive.
Bill Schaper moved to
recommend the State be contacted to study the intersection of Howell Avenue and
Centennial Drive for the installation of traffic signals, including the Opticom
system, seconded by Tom Rosandich.
Motion passed.
C. Request
for “No Parking” signs on both sides of Burkhard Court.
Bill Schaper moved to
recommend “No Parking” signs be installed on both sides of Burkhard Court for
its full length, seconded by Cliff Nelson.
Motion passed.
5) Adjournment
Mike Sullivan moved to adjourn the Traffic and Safety
Commission meeting, seconded by Bill Schaper.
Motion passed.
