Civil Service Commission

Tuesday, February 25, 2003

1.   The meeting was called to order at 5:55 p.m.

2.   Present were Jim Potter, Sharon Wiorek, Brad Evans, and Marie Pellett.

3.   Brad Evans, seconded by Sharon Wiorek, made a motion to approve the minutes of January 28.  All aye; motion carried.

4.   Jim Potter read a letter from Amy Gonzalez in which she requested an additional make-up date for the State exam.  The Commission denied the request based on the information provided in the letter of Ms. Gonzalez.

5.   The Commission entered Executive Session at 5:50 p.m. to review the test results for Dispatcher.

6.   The Commission reconvened into open session at 6:15 p.m.  Of the 147 applicants invited to the test, 93 completed the exam.   Per their usual standard, 70% was considered passing.  Of the 93 applicants that took the exam, 73 had a score of 95 (70% of 136) or higher and will be invited to take the typing speed exam, tentatively scheduled for March 4^th.  The Commission set tentative interview dates for March 17 and 20.

7.   The meeting adjourned at 6:20 p.m.
