TRAFFIC AND SAFETY COMMISSION

1) Members in Attendance
Bob Anderson, George Artka, Jim Cech, Alderman Lampe, Cliff Nelson, Tom Rosandich, and Mike Sullivan were present. Bill Schaper was not present.
2) Review of Minutes
The minutes of the November 13, 2002 meeting were approved on a motion by George Artka, seconded by Tom Rosandich. Motion passed.

4) New Business
Request to remove the "No Parking" signs on 5th Avenue from American Avenue to Maple Street
Alderman Lampe moved to recommend denial of the request to remove the signs indicated above, seconded by George Artka. Motion passed.
Request to discontinue the use of the "Blinker Stop" stop sign in the City and replace the only installation with traditional stop signs.
Alderman Lampe moved to recommend the use of the "Blinker Stop" sign be restricted to temporary and limited use at new stop sign installations, seconded by Jim Cech. Motion passed.
Designate the right lane of Southbound Pennsylvania Avenue at Rawson Avenue "Right Turn Only".
George Artka moved to recommend the outside lane for southbound traffic approaching Rawson Avenue on Pennsylvania Avenue be designated as "Right Turn Only" after seeking the County’s concurrence, seconded by Mike Sullivan. Motion passed.
5) Adjournment
Cliff Nelson moved to adjourn the Traffic and Safety Commission meeting, seconded by George Artka. Motion passed.
