Elimination of Proposed Clement Avenue Collector Street from Abendschein Community Park Site: Review/Approve
The Oak Creek Parks, Recreation & Forestry Commission reviewed the proposed location of the future Clement Avenue collector street which would pass through Abendschein Community Park.
City owned North Shore right-of-way property between Forest Hill Avenue and South Nicholson Road was included in a land exchange to Milwaukee County for bike trail purposes. Since the North Shore right-of-way property included in the land exchange was previously designed to be a section of the Clement Avenue collector street, the elimination of the collector street passing through Abendschein Community Park would eliminate the separation of approximately 15 acres of parkland from the rest of the park site.
Marianne Dickmann made a motion to recommend that the Plan Commission consider the elimination of the proposed Clement Avenue collector street that runs through the Abendschein Community Park site. Seconded by Janet Fluegel. All aye. Motion carried.
Janet Fluegel made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:35 PM. Seconded by Greg Lampe. All aye, motion carried.
Respectfully submitted,
Janet Fluegel
