RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK `TO EXECUTE A CITY OF OAK CREEK/MILWAKEE COUNTY INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR COMPLETION OF ONE COMPONENT OF THE OAK LEAF TRAIL SYSTEM

THIRD AND FOURTH ALDERMANIC DISTRICTS

WHEREAS the Director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry is seeking authorization to participate in completing a section of the Oak Leaf Trail System with Milwaukee County in the City of Oak Creek; and

WHEREAS Milwaukee County in cooperation with the City of Oak Creek has been completing the installation of various segments of the Oak Leaf Trail; and

WHEREAS, Milwaukee County requests assistance in completing one component of the North Shore/Bender Park-Oak Leaf Trail; and

WHEREAS, the component is the former Chicago North Shore ROW (south of Puetz Road) to Bender Park; and

WHEREAS, Milwaukee County seeks $170,670 to complete the one component.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to review and accept an Intergovernmental Agreement with Milwaukee County to complete the one component for $170,670 with funding being provided from the bikeway escrow fund.
