BY:  COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE

 

RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO

ALLAN M. FOECKLER AS 2ND DISTRICT ALDERPERSON

 

WHEREAS, Allan M. Foeckler was elected to the position of 2nd District Alderperson on April 4, 2000; and,

 

WHEREAS, Allan M. Foeckler was re-elected on April 4, 2002, April 1, 2004 and April 4, 2006; and,

 

WHEREAS, Allan M. Foeckler’s fourth aldermanic term expires on April 15, 2008; and,

 

WHEREAS, Allan M. Foeckler chose to not pursue a fifth term as 2nd District Alderperson in order to devote more time to his family and career; and,

 

WHEREAS, Allan M. Foeckler was chosen by his fellow Council members to serve as Council President in 2005, 2006 and 2007; and,

 

WHEREAS, during his eight-year tenure, Allan M. Foeckler served on the CIP Committee for seven years, the License Committee for six years, and the Plan Commission for five years; during his term of service, he also served on the Personnel Committee, Small Claims Committee, Parks, Recreation and Forestry Commission, Community Development Authority (CDA), Board of Health,  Cable TV Committee, and Computer Steering Committee, and was the Emergency Management Advisory Committee Representative; and,

 

WHEREAS, Allan M. Foeckler has served the best interests of the City and the residents of the 2nd District; and,

 

WHEREAS, the City of Oak Creek has benefited from his contributions to City Government as an Alderperson.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Oak Creek, for and on behalf of the citizens of the City of Oak Creek, their sincere appreciation be and the same is hereby extended to Allan M. Foeckler for his service to the City.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting and that the City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit a suitable copy thereof to Allan M. Foeckler.
