Recommendation: That the Common Council Concur with the recommendation of the Director of Parks, Recreation & Forestry and approve the purchase of one 2008 Toro (Model Z589) Commercial Mower from Highway “C” Service in the amount of $9,772.00.

Background: During the 2008 budget process, the Council authorized the purchase of a replacement for the 2002 Toro Z28ZL mower. The cost for the department preferred 2008 zero turn mower is based on the dealer bid program offered for sales to government agencies by The Toro Company/R.L. Ryerson Co., Inc.

Fiscal Impact: Funds in the amount of $10,000 have been included in the approved 2008 Capital Equipment Budget for this purchase.
