RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE SOUTH 27TH STREET CORRIDOR STREETSCAPE MANUAL

 

(2nd and 6th Aldermanic Districts)

 

WHEREAS, On December 20, 2005 the Common Council endorsed the concept of entering into memorandum of understanding with City of Franklin to cover one-half the cost of a streetscape plan for South 27th Street; and

 

WHEREAS, On April 18, 2006 the Common Council approved Resolution No. 10614 authorizing the execution a memorandum of understanding with the City of Franklin pertaining to the payment of the contract price of an agreement for professional engineering and architectural services for the South 27th Street corridor plan area streetscape design and further addressing the funding source for such agreement; and

 

WHEREAS, During the course of preparation of the South 27th Street Corridor Streetscape Manual, there have been numerous opportunities for public involvement; and

 

WHEREAS, the Plan Commission and Community Development Authority have previously reviewed the South 27th Street Corridor Streetscape Manual, and have recommended its approval.

 

                        NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council that the South 27th Street Corridor Streetscape Manual is approved.

 

                       

                        Introduced at a regular meeting of the Common Council of the City of Oak Creek held this 15th day of January, 2008.
