Recommendation:  To concur with the recommendation of the Traffic and Safety Commission and approve the request to replace the no parking signs 3 – 8 pm April 1^st through July 1^st with a no parking any time sign.

Background:  The request was discussed at the Traffic and Safety Commission meeting on July 11, 2007.   The original request was to install stop signs at the intersections since the parked vehicles limit visibility around the intersection.  This was denied by the Traffic and Safety Commission.  It was compromised to replace the no parking signs and also paint the end of the parking stalls.  This will help the police know where vehicles are allowed to park near the intersection.

Fiscal Impact: There are sufficient funds available in the Street Department operating budget to accommodate this installation.
