Informational:  Mayor’s appointments as follows to the ad hoc Joint Library Exploratory Committee to join four appointees from the Milwaukee Area Technical College.

Background:  In February of 2007 Mayor Bolender commenced preliminary exploration into the feasibility of constructing a City of Oak Creek / Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) Joint Library Facility on the MATC South Campus site.  Through meetings with the Interim Vice President of MATC the Mayor learned that MATC is very interested in the concept of a joint facility and is eager to create a committee to explore the feasibility and practicality of the concept.  It was suggested that the City of Oak Creek and MATC each appoint four individuals to the committee.   

This Committee is exploratory in nature and in no way obligates the City or MATC to a project or funding.

Fiscal Impact:  None.
