BY COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE

RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE RETAINING THE SERVICES OF

VIRCHOW, KRAUSE & CO. AS THE CITY’S AUDITING FIRM FOR

THE 2007-2008 AUDIT YEARS.

WHEREAS, the City retained the services of Virchow, Krause & Company for the audit years of 1996-1998; and

            WHEREAS, the 1996 engagement agreement with Virchow, Krause & Company has been subsequently extended for optional two-year extensions as provided for in the original engagement terms; and

            WHEREAS, the City wishes to continue the engagement of Virchow, Krause & Company for the audit years of 2007-2008, with the mutual agreement of the City and the Company.

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Oak Creek authorizes the appropriate City staff to execute the appropriate documents for the purpose of engaging Virchow, Krause & Company for audit services for the fiscal years of 2007-2008 for the City and the Water and Sewer Utility.

            Introduced at a regular meeting of the Common Council of the City of Oak Creek held this 17^th  day of July, 2007.
