RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE DEDICATION OF THE PROPERTY AT 250 WEST DREXEL AVENUE FROM THE A&D VITUCCI REVOCABLE TRUST

 (1st Aldermanic District)

WHEREAS, the A & D Vitucci Revocable Trust have offered to donate to the City the property at 250 West Drexel Avenue (THE PROPERTY); and:

WHEREAS, THE PROPERTY contains significant wetlands, floodway and flood fringe; and

WHEREAS, the City’s Comprehensive Plan recommends that the City preserves lands designated as resource protection or limited development areas through either regulation or acquisition.  The Comprehensive Plan also recommends acquiring areas with floodway present to preserve their function in stormwater conveyance; and

WHEREAS, acquiring this property, which has significant floodway and has been designated as a resource protection area on the future land use map, will help implement the City’s goals relating to natural resource and open space preservation; and

WHEREAS, prior to the acquisition of property it is appropriate to undertake a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment. 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute and accept a Quit Claim deed from The A&D Vitucci Revocable Trust from the for THE PROPERTY provided that the results of a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment show no areas of concern.
