Recommendation:  To concur with the recommendation of the Traffic and Safety Commission and approve the request to install the stop sign and double arrow sign at the intersection of S. Shepard Avenue and E. Randy Road.

Background:  The request was discussed at the Traffic and Safety Commission meeting on May 9, 2007.  There were a large number of citizens in attendance for this request with all in favor of placing a stop sign on S. Shepard Avenue.  The citizens and the Commission members had an open discussion on the traffic study and their concerns.  The Commission members also mentioned that the addition of a double arrow sign would also help with vehicular traffic recognizing that this is a tee-intersection.

Fiscal Impact: There are sufficient funds available in the Street Department operating budget to accommodate this installation.
