Recommendation:  That the Common Council approve the recommendation of the Street Superintendent to purchase one (1) 2007, 5 yard Dump Truck complete with plow equipment and spreader from the low bidder, Lakeside International in the amount of $101,281.00.

Background:  The Street Department advertised for bids for a current model Dump Truck with plow equipment and spreader. We also added in the bid an optional price for a stainless steel box and spreader which are included in the winning bid price. The optional price for the Stainless Box and Spreader is $7007.00.  The Street Department is currently fixing a lot of rusted out boxes.  This option would cut back on the amount of maintenance having to be done. We received three (3) bids. The lowest bidder, Lakeside International, was selected.
