Recommendation:  That the Common Council adopt Resolution No. 10725-020607, urging the Governor and Wisconsin State Legislature to enact legislation fairly compensating local governments for hosting existing and new power generation sites.

Background:  At their meeting on 1/16/07, the Council expressed unanimous support of AB Bill 818.  Adoption of this resolution formalizes the City’s position and a signed copy will be presented by George Petak as part of his lobbying efforts on behalf of the City for the adoption of the budget bill that would include the shared revenue provisions.

Fiscal Impact:  None.
