Recommendation:  To concur with the recommendation of the Traffic and Safety Commission and deny the removal of the No Parking signs along E. Susan Drive.

Background:  The request was discussed at the Traffic and Safety Commission meeting on November 14, 2007.  There were four residents present for this item.  The Engineering Department presented background information on the ordinance that was created for these signs along E. Susan Drive.  Tom Reid, resident at 240 E. Susan Drive, spoke for the residents that attended.  He stated that if the parking restrictions were removed that they would have concerns regarding pedestrian safety, visual problems for drivers, parked cars would create a narrow street for first responders, school buses and snow removal operations.  All residents supported these concerns.
