Recommendation:  That the Common Council authorize the City Administrator and appropriate staff to work with representatives from the Oak Creek/Franklin School District to explore all aspects of the relationship between the City and the District as they relate to providing services, such as the recreation program, elections, MOU,s, property maintenance, and facility usage.

 

Background:  The Mayor, City Administrator, School Superintendent and School Board members had informal discussions relative to this topic and recommend a comprehensive review be undertaken to determine and recommend equitable solutions for sharing resources in the best interest of our respective taxpayers. 

 

Fiscal Impact:  There is no fiscal impact to this decision, but the exploration will help determine if there are cost efficiencies or economies of scale realized from the change.
