Recommendation: That the Common Council consider a motion to award the soil boring investigation for the W. Puetz Road reconstruction to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, Gestra Engineering Inc., at an estimated cost of $6,660 (Project No. 07025) (6th Aldermanic District).
Background: The Engineering Department is working on the design of W. Puetz Road from S. Liberty Lane to the I-94 bridge. The soil borings are needed to determine the soil conditions and the existing road conditions. The borings are also needed for the new box culvert construction. The Engineering Department sent a request for proposals to four firms. The following three bids were received:
