Recommendation:  That the Common Council consider a motion to award the traffic study for the intersection of W. Puetz Road and S. 13th Street to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, Traffic Analysis & Design, Inc., at an estimated cost of $3,276.00 (Project No. 07025) (6th Aldermanic District).

 

Background:  The Engineering Department is working on the design of W. Puetz Road from S. Liberty Lane to the I-94 bridge.  The traffic study is needed to determine if a traffic signal is warranted, and to determine the future needs of the intersection for the SEWRPC 2035 plan.  The Engineering Department sent a request for proposals to four firms.  The following three bids were received:

Fiscal Impact:  The 2007 CIP funds provide sufficient funding for this project.
