Recommendation: That the Common Council consider a motion to award the traffic study for the intersection of W. Drexel Avenue and S. Pennsylvania Avenue to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, Traffic Analysis & Design, Inc., at an estimated cost of $3,276.00 (1st and 3rd Aldermanic Districts).
Background: This intersection is shared with South Milwaukee. The Engineering Department has been working with South Milwaukee to address the traffic concerns at this intersection. South Milwaukee has entered into an agreement with the City of Oak Creek to pay for half of the cost of the study. The traffic study is needed to determine if a traffic signal is warranted and to determine the future needs of the intersection. The Engineering Department sent a request for proposals to four firms. The following three bids were received:
