RESOLUTION APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
FOR PART OF STH 241 (27TH STREET) NORTH OF OAKWOOD ROAD AND SOUTH OF WIS 100 (RYAN ROAD)
(6th Aldermanic District)
WHEREAS, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) and the City of Oak Creek have adopted an access management plan for STH 241 (South 27th Street); and
WHEREAS, implementation of that access management plan will require the cooperation of the City of Oak Creek, the City of Franklin, WisDOT; and multiple property owners to ensure that there is appropriate and safe access to South 27th Street; and
WHEREAS, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) has been prepared that summarizes the current and future STH 241 (27th Street) access and signalization agreement between the City of Franklin (Franklin), City of Oak Creek (Oak Creek) and WisDOT for the development or redevelopment of the land adjacent to STH 241 located north of Oakwood Road and south of STH 100 (Ryan Road). .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Oak Creek that this memorandum of understanding, between the City of Oak Creek, the City of Franklin and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the WIS 241 (South 27th Street) Access Management Plan (dated January, 2006) is amended to reflect the terms of this memorandum of understanding.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the attached memorandum of understanding on behalf of the Common Council of the City of Oak Creek.
